Information collected and how it is used
Communications
If you contact me via email, the Contact page, or by replying to the automated email newsletter, I will receive your name and email address and any other information you choose to provide. I will use this information solely for the purpose of communicating with you.
Newsletter
If you sign up to receive my newsletter, you provide your name and email address, which are used solely for the delivery of the newsletter to your inbox. You can always unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe from this list” link at the bottom of any edition of the newsletter.

Comments
When you comment on a post, this site collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. The comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.
If you leave a comment on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
